  1. Advanced periodontitis is defined as periodontal pocket ≥ 6.0 mm. Model 1: adjusted only for sex and age. Model 2: adjusted further for smoking status (never, former, current), remained number of teeth, status of decayed teeth (presence, absence), carotid intima-media thickness (CIMT), and hemoglobin. Model 3: adjusted further for glomerular filtration rate (GFR)
